Consultant Pulmonologist

Position Overview:

• The Pulmonologist will diagnose and treat patients with respiratory diseases and conditions. This role involves comprehensive patient assessments, management of chronic and acute lung diseases, and collaboration with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and lung cancer. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Perform procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and lung biopsies.
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine and may participate in clinical research.
• Respond to emergencies related to respiratory failure or severe asthma attacks.

Desired Candidate Profile

• MBBS, MD & Fellowship in pulmonary medicine.
• Must have completed a residency in internal medicine.
• Must have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience (post PG) in consultancy role.
• KMC certificate.
