In-house Consultant - Neonatology

Position Overview:

• The Neonatology Consultant provides specialized medical care for newborns, particularly those who are premature, ill, or require intensive care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a range of neonatal conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and guiding medical staff in providing high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat neonates in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) and other care settings.
• Work with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide expert consultations for complex cases, including intrauterine infections, congenital anomalies, and respiratory distress.
• Mentor and educate residents, medical students, and nursing staff on best practices in neonatal care.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance neonatal care.
• Communicate effectively with families about their infant’s condition, treatment options, and care processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

• MBBS, MD / DNB / Fellowship
• Must have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience (post PG) in a consultancy role.
• KMC certificate.
